SafeNav — Refund Policy
Effective date: 19 October 2026
Last updated: 25 October 2026
This explains how to get a refund for a SafeNav subscription. It is part of our
Terms of Service, and it adds to your legal rights — it does
not replace them.
Operated by Fonz Group Ltd, Broxhead House, 60 Barbados Road, Bordon, Hants, England, GU35 0FX.

Who takes your payment
SafeNav subscriptions are sold through Google Play. Google is the
merchant of record: it takes the payment from your Google Play payment method, and
any refund is paid back to that same payment method through Google Play. We never
see your card details. Your agreement for SafeNav itself is with us.
Within 48 hours: ask Google Play
If it has been less than 48 hours since a payment, you can usually ask Google
Play for a refund yourself, in Google Play’s order history. Google decides these
requests under its own policy — see
Google Play’s refund
help. If Google says no, or it has been longer than 48 hours, ask us.
Within 14 days: ask us
We will refund any first payment or renewal — monthly or annual,
Any 1 pack or Everything — if you ask within 14 days of being
charged. No questions asked, and you do not need to give a reason.
To ask:
- Email [email protected] with
“Refund” in the subject.
- Include the Google Play order number. It starts with
GPA. and is on the receipt email Google sent you, and in Google
Play’s order history.
- Include the email address you use to sign in to SafeNav, so we can find
your account.
We issue the refund through Google Play, for the full amount of that payment.
How long it takes to reach you depends on Google and your bank or card
provider.
What happens after a refund
- A refund ends the subscription it paid for immediately.
It will not renew, you will not be charged again for it, and your paid
features stop straight away — not at the end of the
period you already paid for. This is different from cancelling (below),
which keeps your paid features until the period ends.
- Your account moves to the free plan straight away. Nothing you
have made is deleted, and nobody is removed from your circles.
The Terms of Service set out exactly
what changes.
- You can subscribe again at any time. A free trial may not be offered a
second time.
The free trial
The monthly Everything plan may start with a 7-day free trial.
If you cancel in Google Play before the trial ends, you will not be charged at
all. If you do not cancel, the first payment is taken when the trial ends — and
you can still ask us to refund it within 14 days.
Cancelling is not the same as a refund
- Cancelling stops your subscription renewing. You keep your paid features
until the end of the period you have paid for. It does not refund anything by
itself — to get money back, ask as described above.
- To cancel: open the Play Store app, tap your profile
picture, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → SafeNav →
Cancel subscription. Or go to
play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
- Uninstalling SafeNav, or deleting your SafeNav account, does
not cancel your subscription.
Your legal rights
Everything above is in addition to your rights under the law, which we cannot
take away.
In the UK:
- Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory
quality, fit for purpose and as described, and services must be provided with
reasonable care and skill. If SafeNav is not, you may be entitled to a repair,
a replacement or the service performed again — or, if that is not possible or
does not put things right within a reasonable time, some or all of your money
back.
- When you buy online, you normally have 14 days to change your mind. For
digital content, that right can end once access begins, if you asked for it to
start straight away and accepted that you would lose the right. For a service
you asked to start straight away, you may have to pay for what you used before
cancelling. Either way, you lose nothing: our 14-day refund
above covers the same period, in full.
In South Africa:
- You have rights under the Consumer Protection Act 2008, including to
services of the quality you are entitled to expect.
- The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 2002 may give you the
right to cancel within 7 days of buying. Our 14-day refund is longer.
- Annual plans: if you live in South Africa and are on an
annual plan, you may cancel at any time by giving us 20 business days’ notice
by email to [email protected]. We
will refund the part of the year you have paid for that falls after your
cancellation takes effect, and we make no cancellation charge. Cancel in Google
Play as well, so the plan does not renew. We refund through Google Play, as
described above.
- You can also approach the National Consumer Commission or the Consumer Goods
and Services Ombud.
Complimentary packs
Packs we have given free — for example, to early testers — are not refundable,
because nothing was paid for them.
If we end or change something
If we close your paid account for any reason other than your breaking our
terms, remove or significantly reduce something your paid plan includes, or close
SafeNav altogether, we will refund the unused part of your current paid period.
See the Terms of Service.
